The stream was slow, when next to a left hand side curve, I saw this beautiful Lady Deer staring me. She was standing on the sand bank, probably as much surprised as I was my self. Preventing all motion, we were gazing each other.

Then, as the canoe moved by the stream, the Lady Deer begin to walk slowly on the sand bank, paralleling my way for a while. Then she hasten her pace, goes ahead, and begun crossing the river right in front of me !

I was completly stupefied. I had just enought wits to grab the camera, roughly frame, and shot. (Sorry, I didn't had the leisure to adjust aperture nor field's depth.)

Some steps further, as the water was deeper, she swim. I passed her while she was climb on the right hand side bank.
Once she was safe up there, she stand up toward me, and we've been looking again at each other until disapearing from sight, when the river stream had lead me pass the next curve.
